Chart of Monterey Bay trip of 1 October 2004

The yellow line shows the path of our route and the black arrows, the direction. Some of the waypoints are the first occurance of several sightings we made of mammals and birds. The large flocks of storm-petrels were centered on the waypoint for Wilson's Storm-petrel. At the north end of our excursion we approached the long-line boat “Elizabeth” where many birds were working including Flesh-footed Shearwater. The two Tufted Puffins were found along the north leg of our trip. This chart was created with Garmin GPS equipment and their MapSource software.
