Hello, Seabirders!
Participants on Shearwater Journey's last pelagic trip of the fall
season on October 28, 2006 enjoyed a warm, sunny day with six species
of shearwaters, great views of BLACK-FOOTED ALBATROSS, increasing
numbers of NORTHERN FULMARS, a nice show of RISSO'S DOLPHINS, and a
grand finale of feeding HUMPBACK WHALES at the day's end.
Many of the Shearwater leaders were on board: Clay Kempf, Scott
Terrill, Linda Terrill, Jennifer Green, Denise Wight, Mike Rogers, Luke
Cole, Matt Brady, Al DeMartini, Brian Sullivan, and Debra Shearwater.
Guest leader Todd McGrath and chummer Allison Jane Shultz were also on
board. It was a delightful day for all. Many thanks to the thousands of
participants this past season, and to the many leaders who contribute
to making the trips so outstanding. It was a very exciting, and
productive year.
